Hi Nottingham people.
I'm looking for help from home adsl users.
I am finally about to try and replace my modem with adsl access and I'm
looking for recommendations for an ISP. Some of my friends are on NTL
cable modems which I would be happy with but I can't get that here yet.
I have had a look around but it seems most of the reasonably priced
offers include NAT and specify that the machine cannot be reached from
"outside" Basically, I need Linux compatible access (hardware which
requires non-free drivers is not suitable for me) which will allow
proper access from anywhere on the internet. A static ip is not essential
- dynamic is fine as long as it doesn't change every 20 minutes.
Does anyone have any recommendations or any good ISPs that can provide
this (of any in particular to steer clear of?)
Thanks in advance,
Martin Garton.
