I've had a similar problem with the new tarball of php from the website on
rh7.3, just wouldnt compile, seems like they have fudged the zend library
in someway..

I just rolled back to the previous version of php (its at the bottom of
the download page), and it worked fine..

Mind you, I was in a rush, if anyone does have any further info, It'd be
very well appreciated.
