Well the advice for those whoknownothing is to goto the local lug. I did & may say how much I admire the technical work
that is obviously going on as I have read these messages these past months. But guys - all I really wanna do.......is put linux
on an old laptop & make it an e box with internet/text processing/pdf access. And I'd like it to take advantage of the
compression in the present protocol, & download the entire messge file at once, & _maybe_ workwith a pcmcia modem.

Oh! and not have to be rebooted three times a day & cleaned four times a week & crash twice a month - yes I'm currently
using MS/ ME.
