It's a great piece of `cleverness' and goes well with all the other
recursive acronyms such as "GNU's Not Unix" out there.

The downside is that it is selling to the converted by way of an
in joke--something that we seem to have no trouble doing. :)

For an `unconverted' person, they can instantly see that `NotLUG' comes from
the `Nottingham LUG' and have a reasonable chance of pronoucing it for the
first time without the possibility of potentially feeling stupid from
pronoucing it inconsistently with how others may be saying it.

Although offering to show people the correct way to pronouce `Linux' is
satisfying to me, I realise it can be very off-putting and can put out
people's initial enthusiasm like chucking a bucket of them, as such I try
not to do if I believe the longterm effects are going to be negative.
