OK, let's co-ordinate on this one as I've been semi-promising to give such
a talk within CSiT at Nottingham for about a year now (see definition of
JCM Time as defined by Paul and others). I'm keen to get this talk off the
ground - certainly within Dunkirk a few of us are going to have quite a
sweet setup this coming academic year.
As optional extensions to any talk, I can talk about the failover and
recovery systems we're putting in for our connectivity and the wireless
side of linking houses together that will soon be happening (yes Joe, I
will actually get around to sorting this soon! I'm working 7 days a week
at the moment so er, I'll find a spare weekend sometime I guess...).
Other issues include adaptive rate limiting, cache provision (and peering
between houses and so forth), etc. etc. Who wants to sketch this out over
coffee? It's a pity I'm not in Nottingham much at the moment (well, I lie,
I'm enjoying the summer here) but I do plan to be back around again soon.
Jon.
P.S. Glad to see another meeting happened! If I can possibly arrange it
then I will try to make the first Wednesday in September but it'll take >4
hours from door to door in each direction so it's somewhat unlikely!
