I seem to remember somone on this list (I think it was John the RMS
disciple), was trying bonded rather than Gigabit Ethernet out for cost
reasons for a porn^W multi-media video server.
How have you got on with it?
Were the channels put through a switching hub, or simply created a private
dedicated network using X-over cables? Are there any gotchas you found?
I'm wondering how things like ARP work with bonded channels if the 2
Interfaces are visible to other hosts, perhaps it's round robin?
Considering the idea myself but would appreciate benefit of other's
experience.
