Hello, new time poster here. I bet everyone has tried getting apache setup
with PHP and mySQL, but my server doesn't seem to want to know...
I've got apache 1.3 with PHP 4 and i'm following the 5 or 6 tutorials I
found on the net to no avail. I got mySQL setup OK, thats was easy.
The instructions i've got say to configure apache first, then configure PHP
with --with-apache=[path], --enable-track-vars and --with-mysql=/[path]. The
configure and compilation of PHP is fine.
I then go to apache and run
./configure --activate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a and then do the
usual make and make install.
When i run make, it get some error when compiling the functions and bails
out.
What I did notice the first time I tried this was the file libphp4.a file
wasn't in src/modules, I had to copy it there.
I'm running RedHat 7.1 (I know, RH sucks and i'd much rather have Debian
except it hates my printer).
Any ideas?
