Hi,
Had really hoped to meet folks tomorrow at Wagamama, but having to stay late
at work this evening to fix a hacked box for a customer has mucked up all my
plans for this week ( I was supposed to go to a meeting this evening but
things have been rescheduled ...)
Better luck next time, eh? Send me a report of the gathering that I can post
on the web site please, someone? Suggest topics for discussion -
1) As to the comment about lurkers, I find that from the names of the
subscribers I receive, the ratio is about lurkers:posters = 7:1
2) Anyone heard of the Linux install day? May 19th. Anyone want to do
anything for it in the Nottingham area?
3) Survey by National Computer Centre says the main reason for lack in
take-up of Linux is the lack of commercial support.
Regards,
Godfrey
