Many scientific apps: nuclear bomb simulations, weather prediction, molecular
science for instance.
Myself, I would love to continue the artificial life sims that I did at uni.
This is very suitable for parrallel machines, as each node can process a
bunch of individuals independantly from all others.

I can see databases being to most generally useful.
