This is a common myth (no support). The fact is you can buy a support
contract for open source software, and most ppl actually have better
experience with USEnet/mail list, and author support, than with closed source
companies. Obviously this is largely predicated on having a certain skill
level, as there are not enough saints in the world to deal with Newbie
problems, and to answer their questions and complaints.

Someone has been indoctrinated by M$ if they swallow this 'unsupported'
argument. Many critical Open Source projects, will develop features to order
if paid for, and there's always the option of employing a consultant to
diagnose the fault and patch the code in the worst case of non-cooperation.
Try getting a change request accepted through M$, and then total up the
additional license fees, when it comes to the great update.
