Hi,
Yes I am coming on the 15th (I only live around the corner :P).
Please can I get an update on the hardware status for this event - if
we're short I can arrange for an extra machine or two. I can probably
provide a box to do dhcp/dns/masq for the evening if that is still needed.
So can I ask if those bringing network equipment, etc. could let me know.
I don't see any posts relating to how much network cabling we have, hubs,
switches, etc.? I have this reel of cat 5e lying around and crimper if
necessary...how many wall power sockets do we have anyway?
I am prepared to do a demonstration Debian installation if anyone can
provide a machine for the task, and I'm happy to attempt to answer most
questions those attending may have to ask - or go away and email them back
at a later date about it if not doable on the day.
I can post to the CS department at Nottingham to advertise to
staff/students about this week - any objections?

Finally, I have been talking to certain people in CSiT (UoN) about booking
out some of the facilities in the Exchange building (the big central
building overlooking the lake) on Jubilee campus for future talk(s) - I am
going to go talk to more people this week. I just figured since the
University is right here we might as well get them involved/people
therein as much as possible...
Cheers,
