I have a Trust Predator Pro 3D joystick to play around with for a few days,
and virtually zero knowledge of current joystick technology and protocols.
Last ones I used were on a BBC Micro! The manual give absolutely no useful
technical info on it, but it is recognised and usable with Win, simply by
doing the Add->Joystick thing. It's got 4 axes and 4 buttons.
Would it likely be an analogue joystick, and usable with that kernel module?
Finally what kind of joysticks are available now, and best to use with
Linux, presumably there's no point in a very expensive Force feedback job,
as that's not going to be supported? I've got docs on how to install one,
and it doesn't look to bad, if you know what kind it is.
Finally are they afflicted with the problems of graphics cards, where new
versions of very similar cards would not be recognised and require, updates
to X servers before there were usable? Or if there's a module for Logitech
Wingman, whatever, will it generally work no matter the model?
