About 4 years back I used some 'doze S/W to create some wav files, and now I
want to tinker with them again. Plus possilby it's worth converting the
larger ones (some contain some recordings of music) into mp3 format.
Not being a Sound guru, I wondered whether anyone had particular
recommendations? I don't mind command line for batch things and most tasks,
but suspect a GUI program (KDE ideally), would be easiest for making the new
voice stuff. I have a headset to do the actual recording with.
Incidentally I have a Linux ICQ running, but am looking for some Net Phone
software for transatlantic friends, which can interoperate with a Windows
client on the other end? Any suggestions gratefully received.
