I've just downloaded them as well (tip - use an FTP tool and queue them up,
then go to bed and let them download overnight!).
I'm using SuSE, so I will get YaST to install them. I notice that there is a
new version of QT, so I will install that first. Other than that, I don't
think it will matter, I've been through each and every release of KDE and not
had any dependency probs, so I wouldn't worry.
