I'm not sold on that idea; much rather talk to my two headless boxes with a
full bells and whistles KDE desktop. Or even FVWM!! Used it a while back when a
DX50 was the fastest machine I had :-(
Now I'm on XFree 4.0 and Kernel 2.4 there's very little I can do under
Windows that I can't do better under Linux. The reverse is SO not true.
On the extremely rare occasions I have to boot win95, I usually run the MiX
X-server and have lovely Xterms all over the place. Much more civilised.
(yeah, I know; the command-line guys are probably foaming at the mouth reading
this, and getting the voodoo dolls ready)

Nah, it's still bloat. The config options are only for changing the level of
eye-candy. But as long as you've got the horsepower to run 'em they can make
your life a little bit easier.
Only KDE fly-in-the-ointment for me is the default KFM umask of 077 when
creating directories; major pain in the rear (any hints on how to change this
would be appreciated!)
