Gosh, you're going back a long way!
I've just checked my LPs and that one came out in 1967.
It certainly pre-dates the Blue Bus I knew, and may well be its origin.

Thanks for that, never did manage to catch all their words.
Not that it helped a lot - its a *wierd* song.
LSD was all the rage then, but that LP wasnt exactly trippy,
more like a total blowout.

Yeah? Dream on ...

I've just ticked "none" for religion on my census form.
Are you going to enter it as BlueBus/Linux?

Unfortunately Linux doesnt keep me so happy. Well the linux
kernel serves me well, but unix pd/free/open/X11 whatever
applications are getting far too bloated for me. Its partly the
GNU policy of rewriting copyrighted code with extra bells and
whistles, and partly the tendency to make every application do
everything. Too much overlap for me. When something goes wrong,
it takes too long to fix it - too many places to look in.

Take for example keyboard character translations. I've got a minor
problem with the interpretation of my DEL key. Kernel tty driver,
stty settings, X11 translations, Motif/Lesstif bindings, bash,
xterm, less, all race each other to get control of DEL. Sometimes
one one seems to win, sometimes another.
Too much cooking, if you ask me.

Have you tried Tom's root-boot kit - its more like minix, total
system on a floppy (or maybe two)? Its amazing how much quicker
things happen when you cut out all the middle men. Minix used to
pack down to less than 2 MB for everything. It served me well
for several years. My current system built on LFS guidelines
has source code alone totalling over 2 Gigs. Try typing "strace"
on some X11 applications as they startup, or even just "set" to
a bash prompt. Far too much clutter for a healthy life!

And I havnt even looked at {C|K}DE stuff!

Ted.
