I have been to one meeting so far. It has been a timing issue for me
because I am constrained by UoN term times at the moment while I live in
a fscking Hall.

* jcm makes a quiet reference to the fact that UoN are so stupid they
have only three GNU/Linux machines in the main CS lab. It's painful the
number of people who use windows and are happy with it.

Well, I am about to found an official Compsoc for UoN so I shall have
enough trouble getting funding already :P

Now that was worth knowing.

I propose another meeting soon - anyone got ideas?

No, not yet, but it's there :)

* jcm proposes another pub meet mostly because those of us at either
University will be back in a week (I think Trent University have similar
term times? anyone?)

Well, I'm also involved with various other LUGs around the country. In
the case of OxLUG we have the following mailing lists:

        * oxlug
        * oxlug-chat
        * oxlug-events
        * oxlug-installhelp

etc. So there's plenty of room for growth here :)

I support the "Telnet to port 80" campaign.

Exactly. It should all validate to one of the W3C standards too :P

Yes, I've been wondering that too.
