I've plenty of gtk stuff, and the widgets do look nicer (moot point now KDE 2
uses png's).
I just don't get on well with GNOME as an environment, either with sawfish or
enlightenment for the WM. The overall integration doesn't seem to quite 'mesh'
as it should IMHO.
Since I am not a philistine, and appreciate useful software whatever the
underlying toolkit, I use KDE to run GIMP, XMMS, GFTP, GTV, Gnapster, J-Pilot,
and suchlike. So I disagree somewhat with your opinion on this Jon, although I
totally defend your right to hold that opinion :-)
